The 6th World Cultural Heritage Youth Symposium 2025 focuses on the role of Arts in Culture and invites students and teachers to engage with the topic by participating into various activities before and during the Symposium and by collaborating with other delegations.
The activities will be developed:
• Before the symposium as a collaborative project under the guidance of the teacher(s).
• During the symposium as a collaborative project between the various delegations.
Each delegation has to present an Art related to its homeland cultural heritage. For the presentation students can:
• Create a PowerPoint or a Video.
• Play a traditional music piece live (5 performers max)
• Dance a traditional dance live (5 performers max)
The presentation’s duration is 15 min. max.
Please note:
1. Teachers are kindly requested to ensure that the presentation does not exceed the duration of 15 minutes.
2. The laptops for the presentations use PowerPoint and VLC Media Player. If the presentation of a delegation requires any other specific software it will have to be dispayed by using the laptop of the delegation with the required program installed.
3. Presentations of the Hellenic Delegations:
Six of the Hellenic Delegations will present “The Arts in Ancient Greece”. The presentations will take place at the Acropolis Museum Amphitheater. After the submission of the participation form, the Organizing Committee will contact the teacher(s) of each delegation for more details.
The objectives of this year are planned to be achieved during the 5-days Symposium through various activities and workshops, aiming to offer to the participants a meaningful and fun learning experience.
Objective: To introduce the participants to the ancient Greek culture and civilization
The activities involve a visit to the archaeological site of Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum, which is considered to be one of the most important museums in the world. It was constructed on the south side of the Acropolis at a distance of 300 metres from its monuments. The Museum’s foundations were completed on the 30th of January 2004 and its opening took place on the 20th of June 2009.
Objective: To introduce the participants to the ancient Greek Arts.
Presenters: The presentations will be prepared by Greek students and they will take place in the Amphitheater of the Acropolis Museum.

• To expose students to different cultures
• To create the feeling of trust
Dancing has the power to unite people. In this workshop students will have the opportunity to dance together by learning a traditional Greek dance.
Objectives:
• To give students the opportunity to present an Art related to their country’s Cultural Heritage
• To help students understand different cultures and acknowledge the importance of the World Cultural Heritage

Objectives:
• To explore how students perceive friendship across borders
• To collaboratively create an artwork that presents a shared understanding of friendship
This session aims to explore the impact of friendship on wellbeing and personal development. It examines its significance across cultures and throughout different life stages and helps students identify the skills necessary for building satisfying and meaningful connections with others. With the help of creative interactive tasks, the students will investigate the various aspects of friendships – including its psychological, social and emotional advantages – and they will navigate through the complexity of forming and maintaining interpersonal relationships.

Objectives:
• To introduce teachers to the diverse activities of the UNESCO World Heritage Education Programme and to provide opportunities for engagement
• To collaboratively explore educational approaches
Interactive session with the teachers to introduce them to the diverse activities of the UNESCO World Heritage Education Programme and to the ongoing update of the World Heritage in Young Hands Kit providing also opportunities for engagement in global school campaign and capacity building in 2026.
Additionally, the participants will explore collaboratively educational approaches to enhance World Heritage as a catalyst for transformative learning and sustainable development.

“Stories Untold” is a unique collection of Syrian Art pieces painted in Syria, by artists who live there and experience various hardships of war every day. The paintings however speak to the public through the characters, colours and themes of resilience, beauty and life loving people of Syria. It is an invitation to a wider perspective looking at Syria and its people with eyes and ears that go beyond the loss, pain and fear, to see the strength, creativity, hope and love.
Stories Untold is a creation of Manas Art Platform with the collaboration of friends from Greece, London and Syria.
Stories Untold were first presented in the 1st World Cultural Heritage Youth Symposium 2018.

Millions of photos flood social media every day. Photos taken by mobile phones. But what determines if a photo is good? And how can the Art of Photography contribute to the dissemination and promotion of the World’s Cultural Heritage?
In this workshop creativity meets technique and the students will learn essential tips and tricks to elevate their photography skills. They will explore images from the life and culture in Africa to discover the power of storytelling through photos. They will also get hands-on experience with various photographic tools and techniques.
